Perth Environmental – Vac Truck Operator
(AZ Driver)
Location: Concord, ON — On-Site (2 Positions) OR Brunner, ON — On-Site (1 Position)
Position Overview
Perth Environmental is seeking a full-time Vac Truck Operator (AZ Driver) to join our team based out of Brunner, Ontario, servicing food service and industrial customers across the region. This role combines professional driving with hands-on vacuum truck operation in support of our organic waste and wastewater collection programs.

We pick up food waste product, collect it and process it, and all wastewater collected from interceptors and grease traps goes to our plant or an anaerobic digester to help make methane gas for generating electricity.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate vacuum trucks to collect and transport liquid and organic waste from customer locations to approved facilities.
- Perform on-site services such as pumping out interceptors and grease traps, connecting hoses, and managing lines and equipment.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure compliance with MTO, environmental, and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service tickets, logs, and basic paperwork related to each job and route.
- Interact professionally with customers on-site, representing Perth Environmental and addressing basic service questions or concerns.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario AZ class driver’s licence (or higher) with a clean CVOR/driver’s abstract and a minimum of 3 years of AZ driving experience.
- Sound knowledge of MTO regulations and safe operation of heavy commercial vehicles in varied weather and road conditions.
- Ability to read and follow GPS, maps, and written directions, and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with a positive, professional attitude.
- Liquid tank, vacuum truck, or hydrovac experience is an asset.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform all aspects of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, and working outdoors in all seasons.
Schedule, Compensation, and How to Apply
- 3 positions open - 1 Full-time position based in Brunner, Ontario, 2 Full-time positions based in Concord, Ontario; hours may include early mornings, occasional evenings, and some overtime based on customer demand.
